Exterior House Painting in La Grange & LaGrange Park

You may have seen our sign out in front of this multi-stage historical home restoration and home painting project over on La Grange Rd. this past summer.

This beautiful historic home in La Grange Park needed a few wood repairs and your fair share of preparation work and a full primer coat before the final coat of paint was applied.

We also rebuilt the front deck floors and reinforced the middle supports to ensure that the 80 year old original framing would not sink further. In addition, we had to completely rebuild portions of the back porch and foundation wrap.

Local Painters That Go Above & Beyond

The last step involved somehow finding the right sized historic storm window and modifying it to fit into the custom window frame in back.

It certainly didn’t help that the window that we had replaced was likely custom built in the 1920s to fit that particular frame. After a tenacious search around Chicago historical supply warehouses, Andre (the owner of 3rd Gen) finally found a match!

Finally, after a few rounds of prep and paint, the window fit perfectly and was just icing on the cake on this gorgeous historical house restoration and repaint in La Grange Park.
