Picture Frame Deck in Fitchburg, WI
This gorgeous deck was built using the TimberTech AZEK Vintage Collection. The PVC deck boards pictured are in the color Dark Hickory & we completed the deck with TimberTech Impression Rail topped by a drink rail that matches the floor boards.
3-Season Room Composite Decking Build in Verona, WI
This space defines the term “outdoor oasis” & our clients couldn’t be happier! We used a variety of materials in this space including TimberTech Prime+ composite decking in the color Sea Salt Gray and Porch Conversions windows / cabana door. On the exterior, we matched the vinyl siding to the house & finished everything off with AZEK PVC trim.
TimberTech Decking in Madison, WI
On this custom deck, we used TimberTech Landmark decking in the color Castle Gate along with black TimberTech Impression Rail & PVC lattice to give it a modern finish! Can we all agree lattice can be both functional & stunning?
TimberTech Composite Picture Frame Deck in Middleton, WI
Check out this TimberTech Prime+ composite deck with a Dark Cocoa inlay & AZEK Harvest Brownstone picture frame! Because we wanted to tie the whole design together, we used AZEK Brownstone again on the drink rail. Finally, we trimmed the deck with white AZEK fascia & TimberTech Impression Rail. We’re suckers for two-toned deck designs!
We just finished having our deck rebuilt by 3rd Gen. Besides the excellent quality of their work, their communication was outstanding from the beginning of the process with their sales person, Alex, to the end. If I ever called with a question, they always got right back to me.
The two guys that built our deck were friendly & professional. Their attention to detail was outstanding! They did a few extra little things that weren’t in the original design that made the deck look very finished. We are very happy with the final deck We would highly recommend 3rd Gen to anyone else who needs a deck. Thanks for a really good job guys!

Want to hear a fun fact? 3rd Gen’s owner (& his wife) ran painting businesses in college. They both have a soft spot for historic homes & love seeing them brought back to life. So we’ll share plenty of exterior painting transformations, but we have to take a second to highlight some of our favorites.
Painted Lady Restoration in Madison, WI
This beauty was a labor of love. Obviously, we prepped and painted the home. What you don’t see is two porch rebuilds & a good amount of wood rot repair & replacement! And luckily, since this house was built in 1895, we are EPA lead certified to handle all of the work safely.
In 2022, we undertook a large exterior painting and porch-rebuild project for our Victorian house (built in 1895). The paint prep work and scraping was truly impressive, with a neighbor even asking for a referral because of the amazing prep work he had witnessed.
Alex spent an inordinate amount of time working with us through several paint color questions and recommendations, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The carpentry team from 3rd Gen did an incredible job completely rebuilding our crumbling front porch, reusing vintage railings and spindles as appropriate to recreate the Victorian porch aesthetic as closely as possible.
We highly recommend the entire 3rd Gen team for any paint or porch project – excellent work, superior communication, and outstanding results!
Madison Historic Home Repaint
Our client worked with a color consultant to find the perfect balance of contrast to this historic home! Not only were we able to protect the trim for years to come, the woodworking details finally shine the way they’re meant to!
Stoughton Porch Rebuild & Exterior Painting Project
This home has always been gorgeous, but with peeling paint distracting you from what should be warm pumpkin tones, it just wasn’t able to shine like it should. We rebuilt the porch to code, making it safer but still beautiful. We also completed a significant amount of scraping, priming, & wood replacement as needed! And now… well, we’ll let the work speak for itself.
